The Finnish-Syrian Friendship Association ry Celebrates the Opening of the Fall Season

On Thursday, August 29, the Finnish-Syrian Friendship Association celebrated the opening of the fall season, with many guests in attendance, including:

  • Wijdan Nassif from the Syrian Women’s Platform, who introduced the platform and its work.
  • Mahmoud Habib and Koskela Hina Mari from the Espoo Municipality – Hobby Department.
  • Nadia Al-Radi from Save the Children.
  • Pauli Rokola from the Finnish Red Cross.
  • Firdous Hilal and Dunya Al-Hajli from Famois.

The association, which offers services to all Arabic speakers in the capital, Helsinki, announced its program for the season, which includes a support program for women.

The event concluded with a performance by the association’s children’s choir.

The work of the Finnish-Syrian Friendship Association is a model for what organizations can offer to migrant and refugee women and their families in Europe.

At the end of the event, the women’s choir Hanin from the Sham Cultural Association performed.

The fall season has started very actively, as the association offers an impressive range of services, activities, and regular clubs for both children and adults.
