The Shawishka Association successfully organised the closing ceremony for the Teenagers Syria Peacebuilding Initiative, a programme designed to empower young individuals in fostering peace and community cohesion. The event featured a captivating theatrical performance by the Theatre School Band, as well as an enchanting display of traditional dabka dancing by the Mohammed Sheikho Band. The evening reached its culmination with an exhibition showcasing images of the teenage participants in the initiative.
Taking place on December 7, 2023, at the Mohammed Sheikho Center for Culture and Arts in Qamishlo, the ceremony drew a diverse audience, including parents of the participating teenagers, representatives from civil society organisations, intellectuals, writers, poets, and other esteemed guests. The event not only celebrated the accomplishments of the initiative but also provided a platform for cultural exchange and community engagement.
