On Thursday, November 23, 2023, “Mari Development” hosted a conference dedicated to enhancing communication mechanisms between local authorities and communities. This event was a crucial component of the “Active Citizens” project, unfolding in the city of Raqqa. The conference garnered active participation from various civilian activists, representatives of executive authorities, and delegates from civil and local organizations in Deir Ezzor, Raqqa, Hasakah, and Qamishli.
The conference shed light on the outcomes of dialogue sessions held across different areas of Deir Ezzor, providing a comprehensive analysis of existing communication mechanisms and their influencing factors. Additionally, it underscored the pivotal role of civil society in fostering effective communication processes.
