Maria Al Abdeh, the Executive Director of Women Now for Development, played a pivotal role as a keynote speaker at “The Shaping of Feminist Foreign Policy” Conference hosted by the Netherlands on November 1st and 2nd, 2023.
In her speech, Maria Al Abdeh emphasised, “Feminist Foreign Policy goes beyond women’s rights and gender equality. It entails employing gender analysis and a gender lens to comprehend conflict, peace, power, and arms. We cannot tolerate the dehumanisation of an entire population, as it can only lead to genocide.”
The Shaping Feminist Foreign Policy Conference 2023 (SFFP) is an international event aligned with the Dutch government’s commitment to feminist foreign policy, aimed at advancing equal rights and equality for all across the globe.
