Who we are:
Syrian Women’s Network: An independent non-profit civil network, founded in 2013, and registered in Turkey in 2015 under the name UMUT KADIN TOPLULUĞU YARDIMLAŞMA VE DAYANIŞMA DERNEĞİ and includes independent women’s personalities and organisations, who believe in freedom, dignity and gender equality.
What we do:
We work on:
- Consolidating the values of human rights, citizenship, respect for pluralism and gender equality
- Changing the stereotype of women in the media and educational curricula. Empowering women to access decision-making positions.
- Ensure that women participate in the current and transitional stage by not less than 30%.
- Confronting all kinds of human rights violations and violence against women and children. Training women cadres to protect civil peace and resolve conflicts – Cooperation with international organisations
