Who we are:

With the increasing importance of community engagement in promoting justice, equality between men and women, and safeguarding them from any form of violence, a group of women who advocate for complete gender equality and the protection of women from violence established a community group dedicated to realising these principles since 2020. They named it Nour Imissa. Nour Imissa is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit voluntary group/team that firmly believes in the principles of equality and gender justice.

What we do:

Our programs are based on raising awareness in the community about women’s rights, gender-based violence, and the violence resulting from gender discrimination. By activating informal networks and transferring knowledge related to gender and gender-based violence, providing legal awareness, and organising work through the contact point.

The contact points are members of the women’s network who have established informal networks in their local community, where each woman serves as a leader of the informal network. Their responsibilities as leaders include assessing needs, monitoring the activities of the time bank, and overseeing the establishment of small networks. Each small network consists of five women.
