THE SYRIAN FEMINIST SCHOOL: EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO TACKLE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
“The #Syrian #Feminist School is the culmination of projects that began long ago to train feminist activists working on the ground allowing them to have sufficient knowledge to #engender all the projects they implement and to look at everything related to the Syrian context through a gender lens”.
The Feminist School provides a comprehensive and interactive approach to tackle #violence faced by women in #Syria. The main objective is the deepening of the knowledge that women’s #rights defenders already have in gender analysis, in advocacy to respond to violence faced by Syrian women. One of the main challenges ahead is to enable the next generation to continue and fight for women’s rights.
