Position Purpose
The purpose of this position is to facilitate MRD’s strategic and operational stewardship over donor resources, focusing on the development and submission of high-quality project proposals. The Grants and Partnerships Coordinator will apply relevant systems, policies, procedures, and tools to ensure donor compliance, supporting the organizational mission.

Key Responsibilities
As the primary coordinator for grants, the Grants and Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for the formal and technical design of grants, ensuring compliance with partner requirements during implementation. Key tasks include:

  1. Project Proposal Development: Collaborate with the Programs Manager to transform project ideas, calls for proposals, or partner demands into comprehensive project proposals. Lead the grant formulation process, addressing technical elements, and overseeing budget adjustments in alignment with MRD policies. Establish a weekly grant wording schedule as a key performance indicator.
  2. Compliance Oversight: Work in coordination with the Programs Department to control project outputs according to the agreement. Review and provide feedback on all progress reports, ensuring project officers make necessary amendments.
  3. Focal Point: Act as the central point of contact with partners from the initiation of the grant application phase until its closure. Manage communications with all departments, serving as the liaison between MRD and the partner.

Education
Bachelor’s degree and 3-7 years of work experience in nonprofit administration, grant writing, or fundraising.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, or grants management.
  • Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills, along with superior editing abilities to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong administrative skills, self-motivated, and capable of setting priorities while managing multiple tasks under minimal supervision.
  • Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience with donor development/CRM software systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity and experience working with national governmental donors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Profecincy in English, Arabic is an advantage
